And honestly, as someone who left the party\n after watching this circus long enough, I\u2019m starting to think they\u2019re doing it on purpose.\n <\/p>\n

\n Because nothing says \u201cWe\u2019re confident in our base\u201d like threatening to take away the one thing Oklahomans across\n all<\/em> political lines agree on:\n <\/p>\n

Medical marijuana.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n Yes, the same medical marijuana that:\n <\/p>\n

    \n
  • Passed with 57%<\/li>\n
  • Won in rural counties<\/li>\n
  • Is used by veterans, cancer patients, grandparents, and half the people who pretend they \u201cjust like CBD\u201d<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n

    That medical marijuana.<\/p>\n

    And now the governor says he wants to end it without a vote<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    Bold strategy. Let\u2019s see how it plays out.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Step 1: Tell Oklahomans You\u2019re Taking Away Their Weed<\/h2>\n

    \n This is the political equivalent of walking into a biker bar and announcing you\u2019re banning leather. It\u2019s not brave.\n It\u2019s not moral. It\u2019s not strategic.\n <\/p>\n

      \n Oklahomans don\u2019t always vote, but when they do, it\u2019s because they really care about something.\n <\/p>\n

        Step 5: Keep Making Decisions That Feel Like Dares<\/h2>\n

        \n At this point, it\u2019s like the governor is speedrunning how many people he can irritate before November.\n <\/p>\n

        \n Teachers? Check.
        \n Tribal nations? Check.
        \n Medical marijuana patients? Check.
        \n Healthcare workers? Check.
        \n People who like democracy? Check.\u201d\n <\/p>\n

        \n It\u2019s giving \u201cI bet you won\u2019t vote me out\u201d energy.\n <\/p>\n

        \n And Oklahomans love a challenge.\n <\/p>\n

        Step 6: Accidentally Create the Most Motivated Democratic Turnout in 20 Years<\/h2>\n

        Independents + Democrats = A Blue Oklahoma.<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n Not hypothetically.

        \n If those groups voted at the same rate Republicans do, this state would be purple by breakfast and blue by dinner.\n <\/p>\n

        • Losing rights<\/li>\n
        • Losing autonomy<\/li>\n
        • Losing access to medicine<\/li>\n
        • Being told their vote doesn\u2019t matter<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n

          \n Congratulations, GOP. You\u2019ve created the perfect storm.\n <\/p>\n

          Final Thoughts from a Former Republican<\/h2>\n

          \n I didn\u2019t leave the party because of one issue. It was a long, slow burn of watching decisions that felt out of touch,\n out of line, and out of step with real people\u2019s lives.\n <\/p>\n

          \n But this?
          \n This medical marijuana stunt?
          \n This is the kind of thing that pushes moderates, independents, and former Republicans like me straight into the arms of the opposition.\n <\/p>\n

          \n If Oklahoma turns blue, it won\u2019t be because Democrats suddenly became political geniuses.\n <\/p>\n

          \n It\u2019ll be because Republicans couldn\u2019t stop tripping over their own policies.\n <\/p>\n

          \n And honestly?
